Shree Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal was established in 1960 to avail the facility for education of students in the town and surrounding area by Late Babasaheb K.Narkhede was eminent educationalist and renounced teacher. He was in the Managing Council of Bhusawal Arts and Slcience P.O. Nahata Commerce College and Mulaji Jetha college Jalgaon as educational advisor. He was well known novelist, poet and has written many books in Marathi. Some of his books are translated in Kannada and Gujarathi and also received State Awards. He started the above institution with his friends Late G.K.Patil, Late Rambhau Hambardikar, Late Pandharisheth Bhangale and others. The school which was known as Aapali shala which started with strength of 60 students in 1960, has now more than 6000 students with about 200 teachers and non teaching staff, in various branches. It is most prestigious and renowned educational Institute in Jalgaon Dist. as well as in Maharashtra.
The Institute is conducting classes from Nursery to post graduate level. To facilitate the convenience of the parents and students, classes are conducted from Nursery to 4th standard at four different places in the city. The preprimary section in Methaji Mala is named as P.R.Patil (Hambardikar) Purva Prathamic Vidya Mandir, Primary section as T.S.Zope Guruji Prathamik Vydya mandir. The secondary section is named as K.Narkhede Vidyalaya and Kanishta Mahavidyalaya. The medium of education till 2006 was Marathi and from 2006 we have launched semi English classes from first standard to have better understanding of the subjects taught in English. The school enjoys the reputation of being one of the best school and has outstanding performance in the field of curricular and co curricular activities. The K.Narkhede ALUMNY comprise galaxy of eminent individuals from different walks of life as Doctors, Engineers, Authors, Lawyers, I. A.S. personnel and some are also prominent in political field. We have started N.k.Narkhede English Medium School in 2004 and is progressing fast. We follow seminar system in all classes to develop expression power. We are conducting classes for computer training from 1995 from 1st std. to 10th as per Govt. syllabus. For 11 and 12th Computer and Electronic classes are conducted for Science , commerce and Arts.
K.Narkhede College of Science has B.Sc computer from 2002 and M.Sc. computer from 2009. We have also started B.Sc. General and Bio-Chemistry. We are proud to state that our computer students get good rank in University and are well placed in their practical life.
Management along with all our qualified and experienced staff members is trying sincerely to impart quality education to our students.
On 21st Sept. of every year the Punyatithi day of late Babasaheb.K.Narkhede the founder of the Institute, we arrange various competitions at state level. These include prizes to the authors for their literature in Marathi novels and poetry books published during that year. Competitions in music like Bhavgeet, natyageet, eloquence, (extempore) essays, Rangoli, Mehendi, science exhibition of items prepared by students and various other items, are held to encourage students for their all-round development. We have celebrated our Silver Jubilee in 1993-94 and also Golden Jubilee in 2009 with enthusiasm.

To expand our activities we have also started nursery, junior and senior K.G. division at Jalgaon, the District place with the cooperation of Mrs Miratai Chaudhari, President of Shree Sakhi Mahila Mandal Jalgaon by constructing complex and started self employment courses in the complex along with pre primary school.
